Nature Photography Primer -- Staple Tools & Techniques

Nature Photography is incredibly fun and rewarding.  It's a great way to explore our world, appreciate nature's nuances and details, and to express your unique passion and creativity.  Great photographers with simple tools can create astonishing images.  You are that great photographer!

Of my Foundation Series trio of workshops, this one is the most nature intensive.  It provides students with the fundamentals to get started in nature photography, as well as a look-ahead at more advanced nature topics.  From expansive landscapes, to tiny butterflies, to action wildlife--you'll see a variety of instructive good/better/best images covering the breadth of nature photography genres.  We'll explore together what works, and what doesn't.  We'll discuss what you and your camera are already capable of and then review some simple, affordable "must-have" tools that grace nearly every nature shooters backpack.

--The Foundation Series "triple threat" delivers a sound technical foundation intended to make the mechanics of image capture more second-nature.  Technical mastery frees you to explore artistically...frees you to enjoy nature...frees you from frustration.

What to Bring:
